Hamilton to exit Nashville CARES by end of month, after successful 2.5 years
Patrick Hamilton is someone that I admire deeply for his tenacity, leadership, and passion for excellence while leading the marketing and development arm of Nashville CARES.
Hamilton is credited with raising over a million dollars per year of funds for HIV/AIDS related services in Middle Tennessee and leading the fundraising events that many in Middle Tennessee depend on in order to be clients of this HIV service organization.
From NashvilleCares.org:
M Patrick Hamilton, Chief Development Officer, joined the Nashville CARES team in 2013. He attended the University of Tennessee where he acquired both his BS and MS degrees. He formerly served as the Deputy Executive Director of the Tennessee Democratic Party, the Director of Scheduling & Operations with the Office of Al Gore, and as the Director of Scheduling & Advance with the Office of Governor Phil Bredesen. He has been actively involved in youth leadership development, both with the Points of Light Foundation and the Tennessee 4-H Program.
According to a source[^] within the organization, staff received confirmation today of Hamilton’s departure. When contacted and notified of my article to thank him for his work on behalf of those living with HIV, Hamilton confirmed the news in his typical humble nature.
No official word is being offered about his future plans, but wherever he ends up in Nashville is gaining someone that I truly admire and one of my favorite people in life! Previous to Nashville CARES, Hamilton worked in politics and if I were a betting man, I can’t imagine that passion being far from future opportunities.
Congratulations Patrick, and thank you sincerely for your hard work and unyielding support for so many of us in Nashville.
Support Nashville CARES by making a donation today— honoring and thanking this true unsung Nashville hero in the HIV prevention, awareness and services space; a true friend of mine.
Luckily I know he will always support the work of Nashville CARES and I am so excited for him! Congratulations Patrick! XO!
